This global research effort was undertaken between 2004 and 2006 by DAWN, Development Alternative with Women for a New Era. Coordinated by Sonia CorrĂȘa, it looks into the ways in which health sector reform processes intersects with maternal mortality and abortion in 13 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay; Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad&Tobago, Suriname; Nigeria, Ghana and the Philippines.
