Vitali Shmakov, the leader of the NGO “Pearl”, was found dead in his apartment in downtown of Karaganda in the end of June. He was 41-year old and this organization works protecting the LGBTs rights and developing prevetion strategies of HIV/AIDS.
According to News-Kazakhstan (June, 29th)the body of Vitali Shmakov was literally slash, an unknown assassin struck him on 28 stab wounds.
