African Dialogue

The African Regional Dialogue on Sexuality and Geopolitics

5 Oct 2010

On October 5th and 6th, a group of 18 researchers and activists from various countries in Africa, representing diverse communities engaged with sexual rights debates andsexuality more broadly, attended the SPW Dialogue on Sexuality and Geopolitics, hosted by Action Health, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The debates  were very rich and productive.  A number of young researchers and activists participated and the challenges faced the advancement of sexual right in Africa were addressed and examined.  This would not have been impossible if it was not for the work performed by the regional task force Nike Esiet, Codou Bop, Dorothy Aken’ova and Sylvia Tamale.

Very soon the first highlight of the meeting will be posted.
