The Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean ended on August 15, 2013 after country delegates agreed upon a groundbreaking document the “Montevideo Consensus On Population And Development” that fully reaffirms and goes beyond guidelines established by the Cairo Program of Action in 1994.
